Hi, we are Kim and Brian the founders of Parapet Books, we are a small, but growing, veteran owned small business where we believe that dreams—no matter how lofty—deserve a foundation.

Inspired by the words of Henry David Thoreau, “If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”  Our mission is to help aspiring authors, young and old, bring their imagined worlds to life. 

Whether it’s a bedtime story dreamed up by a child or a novel that’s been waiting for its moment, we’re here to turn ideas into published books. We exist to champion creativity, support new voices, and build strongholds for new stories—one book at a time.
